This projects study’s The Cult of Vithoba, The temple of Vithoba at Pandharpur is dedicated to Lord Krishna under the name of Vithoba or Viththala. It is one of those many places in India which every year attracted thousands of pilgrims. These pilgrims are reffered to as Warkari - Meaning: 'The one who performs the Wari') is a sampradaya (religious movement) within the bhakti spiritual tradition of Hinduism, geographically associated with the Indian state of Maharashtra.
